FSU's President admits lack of oversight. Anyone else thinking they don't get hit as hard as some other schools have been hit? FSU Pres Says Lack Of Oversight At FSU
how <t>they have escaped the hammer is beyond me.<br/> <br/> Its not that they have the major booster scandal or something like that, but they always seem to have these problems where you read the findings and wonder 'who the hell is in charge over there?'<br/> <br/> This stuff has been going on for awhile now.</t>
I agree Corey. Here's another article, they will be traveling to the bowl game short 34 players. Various reasons including injuries, but that's a bunch. Noles Travel Short 34 Players
question <r>does Lee Corso have any eligibility left? I think we're going to find out<br/> <br/> then there's this guy<br/> <br/> <IMG src="http://www.superfunpatrol.net/images/burt-reynolds.jpg"><s></e></IMG></r>
This is Bobby Bowden's "Woody Hayes" moment. It can happen to anyone who stays on the job too long and now its happened to him. He should be carried out if he doesn't walk out...
I find it amazing <t>I really do. I have no idea how FSU has skirted widespread condemnation in the media. They have had their black eyes. How could they avoid them? Yet they are never anything more than small blips.. when the reality is that, for some reason, the media and the NCAA has refused to look at the larger body of work that exposes the corrupt fraud of FSU football.<br/> <br/> Other programs have been forever tarred and feathered for much less than the annual events at Florida State.</t>
Yeah....there was the Deon Sanders never went to a fall class but played in the Bowl game scenario and the list goes on and on. These guys are so overdue. Booby is a win at all cost slimeball.
A damaging article about Bowden by a writer who has always supported him. Bowden's legacy takes big 'whuppin'
I have no doubt that if Notre Dame had 25 or more players caught in a cheating scandal, ESPN would be talking about this almost daily and it's would be headllines. How could Bobbah's legend be anything but tarnished. He's swept so many things under the rug in his career it's impossible to think of him without thinking of how he defended Peter Warrick's shoplifting scheme by saying it's not like he shot the President. When Myron Rolle chose FSU I had to laugh, because he was very good student at a very competitive catholic high school and wanted to be a MD when he finished college. He turned down schools that actually have good academics and great pre-med programs with high degrees of success in getting their students into Medical school for that paragon of academics FSU. I noted he was one of the kids caught cheating. I guess he played down to the level of competition.
It amazes me also. It seems some people get coated with teflon and everything slides off. Bobby Bowden has been blessed with that coating in abundance. There are starting to be writers and commentators who are calling for his retirement. I don't wish other schools bad luck with the NCAA because of the rotten experiences the Gators have had with dealing with them. But I have a feeling that it is long over due for FSU to get something more than a slap on the wrist.
