I get to work and go back to my office to put up my stuff, then head back to the Team room for my morning meeting with the staff. As I pass the reception room there is a guy there whom I do not recognize, but I hear my receptionist say can I help you sir. So I continue on to the meeting figuring that he's a walk-in from the building and is going to make an appointment. Then my receptionist comes back to the Team room and says that the man out there says he's here to collect a some money I owe him. I think what the f$$$, I don't owe anybody who would come to the office to collect. So I go out and ask politely what can I do for you, he approaches and says that he's been owing me a handshake for years, I'm a little off guard now not knowing what the heck is going on...then he follows up with I'm Tom McCord!! Could've knocked me over with a feather. Any way he was in town to pick up some stuff for the Vol Fire Dept and stopped by to say hello. He wasn't staying in town long enough to have lunch with later, so we chatted for a few minutes and both got back to work. Afterwards I thought, you dummy you should have had a staff member take a picture! Good to finnally meet you Tom!!! Terry
I was going to wait until I arrived at home but a traffic accident and the resulting traffic snarl on 290 has afforded me an opportunity to write a few lines. You never know when or where Skyboxers will show up! We had tried to arrange a meeting several times and it just didn’t work out. So knowing that I was going to make an early morning run to Houston (left home at 2am), I googled the good doc and there was his office address and his extremely high rating from his patients. I walked into his reception area and was greeted by this very pleasant lady. I thought that I had recognized Terry from a picture or two I had seen on the Skybox. I asked her if that was indeed Terry that just walked by. She confirmed my suspicion. I introduced myself and talked her into the bill collector ploy. Seems they had pulled a joke on Terry before and she was a bit reluctant but went along with my request. Terry did have that “What the F***” look as he turned the corner. I stated “There has been a long term mutual debt that I was here to collect” I stuck my hand out, then turned it to the hand shake position. “We’ve owed each other a hand shake for quite a while… I’m Tennessee Tom McCord.” It was very nice meeting with Terry for the first time even though it was for only a few minutes. Maybe longer next time.
$#@! Terry, now Tom knows! :lol: :lol: I've had the pleasure of meeting the McCords several times and it's always my pleasure. Last year they came to Kissimmee and stayed a couple of nights at the RV park where we were staying right across from us. We are not there any longer, but Tom has every computer gaget known to man or woman kind and he has our new address in North Carolina programed in so I hope to see them soon. I also have to say this, Tom sold us his season ticket to the Gator Tennessee game one year at face value when he couldn't go so we could take two of our grandchildren. He could have gotten a good price elsewhere, but that's the type person he and Cindy are. I haven't been lucky enough to meet Terry yet but hope to one day.

:lol: Thats the best....... Tom you great ... We got to spend alittle more time w./ the McCords when they came to California .... They are great Cindy and Tom are a terrific couple.... but then I havent met anyone from our tiny little group here that doesnt fit the bill ... but why does everyone try to be a bill collector ..... we really arent like that ...really ????
Diane, it's called IRONY. :wink: :wink: :wink: Just to get a reaction, you pretend to be what you're not. We feel the same way. There is not a single person that we have met from Prodigy or from the SkyBox that we did not like. Tailback and I still have differences in opinions but we have met and I know that he is a very likable person... his wife as well. That is why I think that MCG and I MUST meet soon! :shock: :shock: Once you put a face to the name on the boards, attitudes tend to change. Maybe we all should meet!

TT..My travel days are over.Migraine headaches keep me close to home. We have, however, in the past traversed the entire country....and yes..ill be glad to give u a tour of THE MINI STATE! jif
JIF, My mother used to suffer from migraines. She says that she found the cure and so far, she has not had another one since 1975. She had her asshole removed. Her Asshole??? You might ask. Yes, her asshole. The operation was not performed in an operating room. It was performed by a lawyer and a judge in a court setting during her divorce in 1975. :wink:
