Uconn upsets Pitt via a Kemba Walker jump shot at the buzzer. This has to hurt Pitt's chance for a #1 seed. Kemba Walker is a phenomenal player.
UConn is a dangerous team, and Walker can lay 30 points on just about anybody. I wouldn't be shocked to see them make the Championship game, they are very young but very talented. I remember them saying that Calhoun plays 5 freshman, that's how young they are.
T... Digger always used to say..there are no FRESHMAN come tourney time!!...or maybe Vitale said it...not sure.
Yeah I think I've heard Digger say that. If St. Johns beats Syracuse that would be quite a Semi with St. Johns and UConn.
Thanks for the Birthday Wishes! Seems strange to reach the 3/4 centrury mark. Joel still thinks I am a youngster.
Johnnies weren't going to get much in the way of home cookin' after yesterday's fiasco. I think that the 'Cuse had beaten them in NY earlier this year.
Wow...Irish just blasted Cincinnati by almost 40 points. They played great team ball tonight, smart team ball.
Louisville up tonight for the Irish. We beat them during the regular season at South Bend, but they were missing a couple of players that day so tonight will be another story. Of course I doubt if anybody puts Mike Brey in the same class as Rick Pitino as a coach, so we'll have to be very good tonight to beat the Cardinals. In the other semi Syracuse vs UConn....Can I root for them both to lose? I have a strong dislike for Calhoun and Boeheim!
how many Big east teams will be dancing in the sweet 16? in the elite 8? final 4? not looking for any early upsets this year...the cream will rise to top!
ESPN has 10 teams that are highly likely to suffer 1st round upsets. 1. Vandy 2. Az. 3. ND 4. UCLA 5. Fla. 6. Temple 7. Mich 8. Butler 9. FSU 10. Georgetown. I hope they are wrong. It would be incredibly diappointing not to at least make the Sweet 16 for the Irish.
Excellent 1st half by the Irish. Ben Hansborough so far has not done much offensively...1-8 shooting and his misses have been way off. Abromatis and Martin though have picked up the slack. I like how Jack Cooley stepped in when Nash got his 2nd foul. Louisville however has a history this year of making big second half comebacks so the Irish can't take their foot off the gas.
