UConn, Syracuse, and Villanova all lose today, Cuse and Nova again! The conference race is shaping up to be a survival test. The teams at the top are coming back to ND. The two-part question: 1) Can we continue to play at a high level, and 2) Can we start winning consistently on the road?

Pitt has scare from Rutugers. Tough conference for certain.

Sid, congratulations on that win over the Illini this week by the Hoosiers.

Irish had a tough game with Rutgers today, but prevailed at home 76-69. RU has some excellent young players. I was able to watch the game on ESPN3..ie online. Ben Hansborough again was the leader for the Irish. He's really the heart and soul of this team. We'll go as far as Ben can carry us, not to dismiss the other players as we really do have a great "team" mentality but it's Ben that stirs the drink.

Tough run of games coming up though. We get Louisville at home next, and the 'ville has been outstanding this year and you know that with Rick Petino they will be prepared. After that we go on the road for 3 straight tough Big East games.

Very important stretch of games for the Irish. So far this year they've been undefeated at home. Next game with Louisville will be a tough test. Then of the three straight road games 2 are with teams struggling in the Big East. If the Irish play to their level they should be able to win 3 out of the next 4. They'll need the cushion. The finish with the Hall, Nova and UConn.

He must be Sid's neighbor. I have confidence given Sid's recent magic with kids from Ft. Wayne that he'll guide this youngster to the Beacon on the Hill!!:)

He (Harris) also is an outstanding football player at the WR position with D-1 talent. However, there's no question he will be playing BB in college.
