I was thinking you already posted this back in Feb when the article first came out. Problem with this solution is that 16 team conferences are unwieldy for football and impossible for other sports. WAC tried to do 16 teams and it was very unsatisfactory and the original WAC teams formed the Mtn West and left the new guys to swing in the breeze. Also while paring down to 64 teams does sort of set things up for a playoff but that 64 team list will make a few teams reach for their antitrust lawyers, I don't see Boise State on that list, nor Houston, Nevada, UNLV, East Carolina and on and on.
Oklahoma and Oklahoma Sate to the SEC doesn't make sense, leaving Boise State out doesn't make sense and the Big 16 would be the existing Big 10, Notre Dame and 4 teams from the existing Big 12. I'm not sure about that makeup either. Other than that is sounds great!
