No doubt a great throw, but the 3rd baseman had to move his glove to make the tag - not by much, but he did have to move it. All nominations have to be judged by how far the fielder had to move his glove to apply the tag...... :wink:
I agree, Terry. It's a great and exciting play to watch. My son's HS baseball team had a rightfielder who, in addition to being a great kid, had a rocket arm and gunned downed a few runners at 3b during his HS career.
Speaking of great arms...how about Rocky Colavito in RF that guy had a cannon. Have Cleveland fans ever forgiven Frankie "Trader" Lane?
