Some of you guys are Fantasy Baseball Players, so I'll use this section to make reports that might help you. In other words, I won't talk about Clayton Kershaw or Adrian Gonzalez, because you already know that stuff...

Ross Stripling is the starting pitcher tomorrow. He's 26 years-old and he's a rookie. A former #1 pick for Frisco, he ruined his arm and underwent Tommy John surgery. He was completely out of the game for years and so far, he looks fabulous. He came as close as you can to a no-hitter in his debut and he's looked solid ever since. He's quite a bargain and he looks like he knows what he's doing. He's a big kid from Texas and he throws hard. What I like about him is his fearlessness...

Corey Seager batted .337 in his September call-up last year and he still looks like the greatest Dodger rookie I've seen in decades. Maybe ever...

Kenta Maeda was the greatest pitcher in Japan. In four starts here, he's the greatest in this country too. He's given up a total of one run in those four games and only two other pitchers in baseball history have ever done that: Fernando Valenzuela and George McQuillan in 1907. He brings his own fans with him from Japan and he is special.

That's saying something given the rookies season Puig had.

Seager has a long swing, but man is it a pretty one.

It's difficult to analyze Dodger opponents right now, because the team is doing so poorly that everyone looks like the '27 Yankees...

One player who really impressed me was the Marlins Christian Yelich. Please note: He's batting over .350 and he's only 24 years-old. This is his 4th year in MLB and he's never batted under .284. He runs like a deer and he hasn't reached his peak yet...

Cubs continue to rule the NLC, Cards continue to struggle.

Astros get a road win to start May, I'm glad to see the end of a bad April start!

Vin Scully feels that the Cubs may very well be the best team in the National League...

The Cubs in May is a relationship made in heaven.

Hey, did anyone catch the Yankees/Sox series? How did that go?

The Nats-Cubs series was supposed to be a big-time battle between the NL's two best teams. After Sunday's sweep, the Cubs looked like Mike Tyson and the Nats, Michael Spinks.

This season will be a fun one for Sid and Wendy.

A little bird told me that the Skyboxes own Mr Cardinal, will be making a trip to Wrigley to check out these new Cubs.

Is Bryce Harper the best player in baseball, and as well as the best best player in his sport, better than Lebron or Curry or even JJ Watt?

That's really hard to say, because I think there are maybe 5 guys who could make that claim in baseball. The best player in the NBA is Steph Curry, but the same thing could be said for hoops. There's maybe 2 or 3 guys who could make the claim.

So long as he pees clean and doesnt implode, he's looking like an HOFer to me.

If Harper keeps yelling obscenities at umps he's going to find his personal strike zone will be rather large.

Speaking of the Cubs, Theo Epstein is exercising sound leadership and planning. He's not resting on the laurels of the early season success. He's planning how to handle adversity when (not if) it strikes.

Astro's getting a better start to May, but still mired in last place. What's really hurt is that we are still below .500 at home.

We are 6-4 though over the last 10 games, if we can put together a win streak we might climb up to 3rd place as the 4th and 5th place teams aren't doing much better than we are.

Good thing it's a long season!

How about the Royals, they are getting a slow start as well.

Bad fight today between Bluejays and the Rangers. Rangers Bautista slid at 2nd to take out Odor and Odor gave him a punch to the face. Benches cleared and it was ugly.

After I watched the replay of the brawl, I saw a reply of Bautista's bat throw last season that touched off this simmering feud. It was the most bush league move I think I've ever seen in MLB. On top of that, the slide was uncalled for. He looked like he was woozy for quite a while after he got hit. He deserved it.
