Justice Dept.: Obama administration may take action on BCS http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2010/football/ncaa/01/29/obama.bcs.ap/index.html?xid=si_ncaaf
Finally congress gets down to working on the real problems facing this country. Let's face it they were wasting their time on the steroid issue. Unemployment, the deficit, the war on terror, health care, medicare, social security, all trivial. Now the BCS....
I think they also need to investigate the Miss America pagent. I mean there was not a single "big" or "Plus Size" woman in the contest. If there ever was a case for discrimination that was it.

Glad to know that with all the minor problems facing our country our Prez can take the time to tackle this serious problem.
This is a problem that shouldn't be... That being said.. this is a terrible waste of tax payer money. However, this is like listening to southerners whine about all the legacy federal mandate programs we have here in the South. They are a gigantic pain in the ass. They are infinitely hypocritical and are totally unfair. All that being said, had they just done what was right from the get go, the fed never would have been involved. I don't really think Obama, the House or Senate, truly want to get in and mandate any sort of change. At the same time, it has to happen. This system is unfair. This system (which uses and exploits tax payer money) won't pass any sort of sniff test. It's cronyism at its oldest and longest standing form in sports.. The only thing that is worse is ice skating. It's got to change. The only ones who don't want change are those holding all the cards right now... nevermind that those who don't have any cards helped buy the deck..
