    -Ohio State vs LSU: I hate the BCS. I'm going to have to root for Ohio State now. This system can KMA.

    -Oklahoma vs West Virginia in the Fiesta: Well everyone said there wasn't a defense fast enough to stop West Virginia with Pat White. We're goiing to find out right here. The 'Eers won't be able to stop Bradford Inc.

    -USC vs Illinois: Zook and the Poodle. Sweet Jesus, you're going to need your mud boots for the pre-game buildup of this one. I have a feeling this one might be a Pete Carroll special and Zook may be in a lot of trouble. A LOT.

    -Kansas vs VTech- Hmmm. I just don't care about this. I guess, if nothing else, we'll find out how good Missouri was.... Missouri BTW, beat two BCS teams this year (Iliinois and Kansas)

    -Hawaii and Georgia: If Georgia sticks to the ground game, they should win. If Richt gets baited into a run-and-shootout, Stafford may make some big mistakes.

    I expect that the Sooners will eatup WVa and poor Pat White is not likely to finish the game.

    Ohio State v. LSU
    Another home game for the Tigers. Do any of these SEC teams ever travel outside their zip code? Doesn't matter....Tressel's revenge.

    Oklahoma v. West Virginia
    Mountaineers become the "mounted". Iffy defense does them in.

    USC v. Illinois
    Pete Carroll makes a statement. Emphatically.

    Kansas v. Virginia Tech
    Make sure the defibrillator is close to Mangino. Kansas schedule is exposed.

    Hawaii v. Georgia
    Tonight's menu features roasted DAWG in pineapple sauce.

    I may change my mind. Or I might not. :lol:

    LSU opened as 4.5 point favorites and have already jumped to 6....at least that's what my bookie says! :)

    <t>What a joke. osu and lsu, give me a break! Neither one of these two need to be in the NC game. Whovever wins needs to have an asterik after their NC title for this year. Maybe this will convince the powers that be that the BCS is a joke and we need a playoff finally. If I were a Hawaii fan I'd really be pis*ed. Their schedule was every bit as hard as osu's and they never lost a game.<br/>
    <br/>
    osu gets in by way of a weak schedule and Les Miles bullies lsu way into. Miles must have called up the BCS voters and threatend them that his "Damn Strong Team" would beat the hell out of them if they didn't get in. Too bad both of these teams can't lose. <br/>

    re: Hawaii
    [IMG]
    I think Georgia may be in trouble here. This is a bad matchup for them. I stayed awake and watched the Hawaii-Washington game and it told me a lot about the Warriors. At 1:00 AM Eastern Time, the Huskies were winning 21-0 after only eight minutes of the 1st quarter. It looked like UDub was simply too big and physical on the ground. Then Colt Brennan struck and Willingham looked worried. The Huskies went up 28-7 and Brennan struck again right before halftime and Tyrone looked like a coach who knew he was going to lose...

    Ty knew something alright! The 2nd half was all Hawaii. Their crazy, swarming, Samoans, Fijians, Hawaiians and wannabes from Fontana and Rialto wore the Washington offense out with big-time hits and shut them out down the stretch for a 35-28 win. Colt Brennan threw for 442 yards and 5 TDs, in what was just another routine performance for him...

    Georgia must keep the ball in this game and they must stop Hawaii's short passing game. Based on what I've seen this year, the Dogs may have gotten a bad draw...

    Jo' Co, I watched the Hawaii game until it ended about 3:30 am my Eastern Standard time and have been tired all day!

    It was a really entertaining game and I was rooting for Hawaii to pull it out. I really like watching them.

    However I don't see them as one of the two best teams in the country. The match up with Georgia may tell us a lot about both teams. Georgia was surprised by W. Virginia two years ago in the Sugar Bowl, I imagine they won't want to b done in again. I think Georgia wins.

    well

    <r>Richt is no Ty. He will put the game in Moreno's hands and smash it out behind that big, young Oline. Hawaii's defense is a fit one. They are use to being on the field and they don't often wear down.<br/>
    <br/>
    Georgia will have to defend the 5 wide on every down and play disciplined man coverage throughout.<br/>
    <br/>
    I think Moreno is the difference here. He's awfully special.<br/>
    <br/>
    If Richt falls into the trap or tries to make a statement, he's playing into June Jones' hands. It wont matter if they get up by 14, 21, 28...Hawaii will keep coming back at them.<br/>
    <br/>
    Its actually too bad this Hawaii team couldn't have gone down to the Swamp and opened this year <E>:)</E> Instead they will open next year with almost everyone gone on defense and no Colt Brennan.<br/>
    <br/>
    BTW, Georgia is a physical (hit early, hit often, hit late) kinda team that likes to punch you in the mouth. Brennan is going to get hit in this game, harder than he has all year.</r>

    Hawaii (137) is the ONLY BCS team whose Sagarin schedule ranking is not even in the top 100.

    The avg. for the top 10 BCS ranked teams is 53.
    The average for the BCS Bowl teams is 55.
    Ohio State is at 60.
    The next lowest team to Hawaii is Kansas at 88.

    Interesting that not one single team in the BCS top 10 nor not one team playing in a BCS bowl can claim a top 20 toughest schedule.

    Fla. has the toughest ranked schedule of upper echelon teams at #9...might have something to do with why they aren't BCS bowling. Good luck to Michigan.

    Tim, it's fine if you want to (truthfully) say that Ohio State had a bit of a schedule break this year, but a WAC schedule in no way (at this time) will compare to a B10 schedule, even if the B10 is the weak sister of the major conferences this year.

    The only other bottom 100 schedule in the entire BCS top 25 is that of the other WAC darling, Boise State (113).

    Gaterz, The SOS is in my post...the numbers are what they are...we had a bit of a weak schedule this yr. but not so weak that we owe anybody any apologies.

    I appreciate (very much, actually) the Rose Bowl's loyalty to the B10 and Pac10...but I like the matchups better if Illinois gets passed over, and I think other than the loyalty and tradition perhaps they should have been.

    And I think that maybe Missou is the one who got screwed here.

    If the BCS left Illinois out that would have made for Illinois-Fla. matchups and Michigan-Tenn...Wiscy would be playing Texas A&M...Penn State would get Oklahoma State, Indiana would be playing BC, and Michigan State would stay home in the Oil Drip Bowl to play Central Michigan.

    And my Boilers would stay home, rather than having a CMU rematch in Detroit...damn, I hate rematches.

    PS...don't get mad about my "better matchups" comment...I believe that Fla.-Illinois be a mismatch.

    Gee I wonder if the Wisconsin coach will complain about Illinois getting a BCS bid over a more deserving (ie higher ranked) Missouri squad that beat the Illini back at the begining of the season. Last year he publically complained about Notre Dame getting the bid over Wisconsin...who I guess he didn't know was ineligble by rule.
