    Bill I don't blame them. The Irish are the only team with a significant national fan base, they bring TV sets. That's what those guys all want, good ratings.

    Of course that's what irritates other fans frequently, they think their school has been slighted because of TV execs being enamoured with ND ratings. But the bowls have always been about getting the best team that will fill the stadiums, and since TV also get good ratings. That's how they make money.

    I've watched some of those Orange Bowl games where a team like Cincinnati played VaTech and not only did the game not sell out but their ratings were terrible. Plug in ND and attendance goes up and ratings go up.

    Now the BCS Championship game is a different animal, like the Super Bowl it's going to sell out no matter who and get high ratings no matter who's playing but the rest of the bowls are scrambling for teams who bring fans and tv sets. Huskers bring fans but then there's nobody left in Neb to watch! :)

    Well Terry I would love for the Gators to get to the Sugar Bowl, and if Notre Dame doesn't go the championship game I would love to have us match up.
