Speaking of money, do you realize that the 2006 Boston Red Sox had the highest payroll in history of any team that FAILED to make the playoffs?

So its not just what you spend, it's what you spend it on!

There's your economics lesson for the day.

Speaking of money, I wonder how many times the Yankees have set the record for the highest payroll in history of any team that FAILED to make the World Series.

I mean besides last year and the year before that. :D

What's Big Papi doing today? Or Schilling?

You are forced to watch the Yankees for your baseball fix. As it should be.

Crankees are in major doo-doo here. The Tigers have a clear shot at home and enough talent to pull it off...

Kenny Rogers pitching against the Yankees next. I think everyone in the Yankee lineup has a lifetime BA of .350 or better against him. If they don't clobber Rogers then I will worry.

If the New York tabloids aren't jumping on the Mets bandwagon today, they're picking on A-Rod.

Give him credit, I don't think he does it in a bar.

Besides, his wife's a psychologist, or something like that.
