That's a tough one. Joe Torre jumps out at me, but I'm having a problem with the rest.

I've seen this before, it's a trick question, you rack your brains thinking of St. Louis Cardinals....but you have to think outside the box.

How about this trivia....of the 6 division leaders in MLB on this date in 2014 ( June 9th) only 1 went on to win their division. Who was it?

To Illustrate how long the season is, we are only in week 10 of 30...2/3rds of the season to go.

Oakland? They were hot from the beginning and I think they hung on at the end.

Well I think my trivia turned out to be trivial and wrong. I was reading an article that brought this up and gave examples of how teams flopped over the rest of the season last year. Author's point was there is a long way to go, and he made that statement, but never identified the 1 team who was leading a division on june 9th 2014 who finished the season as a division winner.

So I looked up who was in 1st place on June 9th 2014.

    ALE - Tor Winner Orioles
    ALC - Det Winner Det
    ALW - Oak Winner Angles

    NLE - WSN/ATL Winner WSN
    NLC - MIL Winner Cards
    NLW - SF Winnner Dodgers.

So maybe I misread and it was 1 in each league. Det in AL and WSN in NL.

Dodgers of course came from 9 games down on June 9th to win going away by 6 games.
