OK so the Playoffs are set. Best time of the year for baseball fans!

Just a little bit of turning back the clock to one of the most famous baseball playoff series ever...although todays young fans would say ..Brooklyn Dodgers and New York Giants? Who's that angry dude named Leo? Even though I'm now over 70, I was really too young at the time to even know about that game, later when I became a Dodger fan it was still new enough that I learned about it. Just like I doubt if young Cardinal fans know what happened in Kansas City on Oct 27th 1985, or who Don Denkinger is or what he did.

Leo is getting killed there by Eddie Stanky. I used to work with his nephew. Their real family name is Stankowitz. (sp?)

Kluber gives up 3 straight HR, Justin has no hitter going into the 6th and is yanked after loading the bases having a hard time finding the strike zone

Astros 7 - 2. Out hit the tribe 12 to 3. Verlander was unhitable for 5 innings and the bullpen was good.

look for the Yankees/Sox to be a war. The Dodgers look like a mismatch for the Braves, but the Braves are a good young team.

Astros win, pitching was outstanding. Just enough hitting. Back to Cleveland now.

Brewers sweep the Rockies giving up only 2 runs the entire series with those 2 runs being scored in the 9th inning of game 1.

11 straight wins for Milwaukee and it looks like the Dodger$ will be coming here Friday.

Bob I'm hoping for a central time zone WS. If that happens we'll have to get another Texas tasty v Wisconsin tasty bet!

If that happens, I'll be happy to do a BAPP v Am. Spoon bet but I think the execs at FOX will be rooting against that scenerio.

American Spoon is a Michigan company, need to find a Wisconsin company.

Maybe the Wisconsin Cheese Mart or someplace like that! :)

Uecker does the radio play by play for all home games and away games to cities he wants to visit. He has had a few health problems but still does a great job on play by play and is still hilarious although he dials down his humor somewhat given that he has a family audience. He is a icon in this state.
