    Congrats Barry.

My Dad had a classic comment IRT Barry's record. He said to simply put "CHEATER" in paranthesis next to his HR record.

Did he break the record? I didn't notice.

You know, the media is not hyping this up like they have in the past. I remember breaking news coverage for previous record attempts. None of that has been going on with Barry Boobs attempts. I wonder why

Not yet Tom. He's currently at 710, 4 behind ruth. I took the # of homers he's hit since 1997 (The suspected year of beginning steroid use) and deducted it from the current number.

But your right, NOBODY's making a big deal outa this. Works for me.

Is it coincidence that since the scandal hit and testing is a threat, his HR production has trailed off to almost nothing? I saw a clip of yesterday's. It was to the opposite field. For some reason that bat is a lot slower these days.Ah yes, better living through chemistry.

No coincidence. His body is breaking down. First a bad back, now two bad knees. The 'roids have taken their toll.

Same thing happened to Brady Anderson, Brett Boone, Lenny Dykstra, Sammy Sosa and Mark McGwire. All had incredible power spurts followed by physical breakdown and retirement or obscurity.

McGwire exascerbted his situation by turning out to be a whiny A-hole and a liar in his Congressional appearance.
