So... I had a 20 oz coke bet with a Bama fan at work during the 2005 and 2007 seasons. Does that man that he now has to buy me two cokes for each year?

That could also affect FSU. They took wins away from them with an investigation just finished. FSU has appealed saying there is no precident for vacating victories.

That would affect Bobby Bowdens win loss record.

This wasn't much of an athletic problem. The textbook issue is something that should have been caught by any number of people on many levels all outside the athletic department.

Unlike Mal Moore, I think the punishment is just here. No scholarships lost, 3 year extension of probation.. Sounds pretty just. The vacated wins are rough, but at some point in time, someone at that school has to monitor WTF is going on there outside of the Athletic Dept. If I were in that athletic dept, I'd be pulling my hair out.. Boosters that were out of control (allegedly) and now you have people in 2 separate and unrelated offices NOT doing any sort of monitoring or auditing of their operations which allowed for this loophole to be exploited.

If I were a Tide fan, I'd just as soon see Nick Saban given the iron fist rule that Bear Bryant enjoyed. He seems to be the only one who wants to do his job.
