Lester vs Shields. Should be a good game, but I don't think it will be as good as Weds nite's.

A's take this one fairly easy IMHO.

 

Don't underestimate Shields. Because of Samardzija, I'm pulling for the A's.

A 12 inning classic. The A's went up 8-7 in the top of the 12th. Kansas City scored 2 in the bottom of the 12th for their first playoff win in a million years...

 

the only baseball worth watching anymore is playoff baseball.

I fell asleep, CST here ya know, but caught the SC highlights. I noticed how they kept showing flashbacks to that theft from 1985.....not one mention of Denkinger.

 

theft? What are you talking about? I remember you mentioning something about a theft back when we went to a Royals game..but I thought you were just warning us to keep our hands on our wallets and beer.

 

BTW anybody know why Jeff Samardzija was not on their active roster for the WC game?

 

No. I did not know that. Perhaps they wanted an extra bat or RP and dropped him for the game, knowing he would not participate.

yeah that was a terrible call but...

 

I am pulling for KC to go all the way.

Oakland sure fell flat this year after a great start.

 

Giants are obliterating the Pirates 8-0 in the 9th. I gave up watching. The Pirates had no chance against Frisco pitching...

Where is Todd Worrell these days?

 

(1) He should just be getting done with his robbery sentence...

(2) Todd is currently the pitching coach at Westminster Christian Academy in St. Louis and also coaches for the River City Rascals of the Frontier League.

 

I recall the first week of the season when I pointed out that the Tigers were the last unbeaten team in MLB and someone on here disparaged their sweep of the Royals. As I wrote then, they're a good team with plenty of speed and a super bullpen.

 

Now what Royals fan would have done that?
