Tiger is in the field and it's a good track, he's - 4 through 14!

I am Doc. You know that I'm a fan of the "Kings Sport".

Bay Hill is a fun little track even if it's Arnie's course. Arnie likes those short little watery courses.

How's my Boy's John Daly and Boom Boom doin?

I like water, but I don't like soaking my balls in it!! :)

Ben Curtis and the Big Easy in the Clubhouse at -5, Tiger falters to -2.

I'm watching it now. Played it years ago. While we were waiting to tee off Arnie and 7 buddies teed off in two foursomes. It was funny watching them make their bets before hitting. Arnie was just like the others (he took a Mulligan.)

Mulligans with money on the line? I didn't think in a money game your partners would allow that!

I think that they were playing Mulligans on the first tee. They all took one even the king. (I would have gladly taken his reject.)

I see that Lucas Glover is putting together a nice tournament. Back to Back 67's and the lead in the clubhouse. I also notice the old Beach Boy, Dean Wilson, has moved to -8. Tiger is just on his front nine but is only -1 for the day, he's going to have to kick it up a notch!

Classic Collapse...miss a 3 footer and then don't take your time with the next put and lip it out....then lip out makeable 12 footer. That cost that guy a lot of money.

Bag Update. Just added a couple of utilty clubs, dropped the 4 & 5 irons and added a Nickdent 3DX 4 and 5. I was going to go with the Taylormade Dual but I read an article in Golf Digest about these Nickdents so I went and hit them and they were just as good and 70$/club cheaper!!

He should've marked and backed off. That last putt should've dropped though. I wonder what he did to piss the Gods off?

Funny you should mention bag updates Doc.

Drove up to St. Louie on Sat and went to Golf Discount SuperStore. They have the launch monitor, board, etc.

Free fitiing service for any purchases over $500.

Had problems with selecting a Driver that was compatiable with my ideal launch angle (Shutup Gipper  ) and optium spin rate.

1st choice was the TaylorMade R7 425. Couldn't get the numbers I needed off it.

Next was the Nike Sasquatch. Keep it.

    Mizuno. Nope

Bobby Jones Player Series. Looks good, didn't feel right.

Then, by mistake, I found Heaven. The new Callaway 460X, 9.5 degree Tour Model. They say numbers don't lie, so this should be the one.

I was already sold on the Mizuno MP-60's. Got fitted for them, and ended up having to special order them. Plus 1/4 inch past standard, 2 degrees upright.

I'll give 'em until the end of July to make a difference. If not, look for them on E-Bay.

I'll find another hobby then....probably become a full time member on Ricks Beer Boards. :D

I got fitted last year for the Driver AJ, I think it's really worth it. I didn't change the head but I did get a new shaft who's kickpoint was more in tune with my swing and improved my launch angle. The main benefit I had was that I hit more fairways and was much less likely to hit the big bannana.

    AJ,

Does the Navy still have big Commisary's where not only you can get food for a good price but also other consumer items like TV's, Stereo's, etc? The one at 32nd St. Naval Station in San Diego was huge and I bought my first nice Stereo system there. I wasn't really into golf then so I don't remember if they had good golf equipement.

    Doc,

All Major Military Installations have the commisarys. I wouldn't shop anywhere else. Huge savings on meat. 25-30% savings.

For big ticket items, they have the PX (Post Exchange) Navy & Corps and the BX (Base Exchange) Army & AF. They're O.K. for savings. Biggest benefit is no taxes on the sale.

You can order name brand clubs from the base Golf crs. No taxes either. It's a MWR function (Moral, Welfare and Recreation). The savings are O.K. also. They're commensurate with Golfsmith and others.
