Any of you Gators concerned that Harvin might be a problem?

He's been barred from further competition as a high school athlete and according to this article has had some problems serious enough to have led to previous suspensions.
Sort of reminds me of Randy Moss, good thing talent wise, but Urban might have to really keep and eye on him. And for some reason when I read that article I get a bad feeling about his mom.

I have some concerns but at this point do not put him in the same class as Randy Moss.

And there is a major difference in playing for Urban Meyer and Bobby Bowden. If Harvin is a problem then I believe he will be history.

Everything I have read or heard about him to this point indicate he's a pretty good kid. I hope that is true and he doesn't get into trouble in Gainesville.

    Only time will tell.

Urban will handle him. The first day Bill Walton showed up for practice at UCLA, he had long red hair and a beard and some funky tennis shoes etc. John Wooden never said a thing. He just pointed to the door Walton had just come through and waited until he left right back through it. When Walton showed up the next day, clean shaven with haircut and a proper UCLA practice uniform, nothing was said again, but Walton was allowed to join practice as if nothing had happened.

Bill Walton eventually outgrew all of that nonsense and became a successful lawyer and broadcaster when his Hall-of-Fame career was over. Let's see how smart Harvin is...

Thanks JO'Co, for the confidence and for the story.

That is pretty much the way I see Meyer, you will live your life right and play by his rules or play elsewhere.
