What's even more touching, is that after being the 7th player who committed to that Alabama 2012 class and now that he's being told well he's really #26 that he's all good about the whole thing. Just wants to play for Alabama. Heck Nick Satan is even signing a piece of paper guaranteeing him his scholarship, I think the kid better make sure it's not in invisible ink. But hey it's all legal and above board. Satan even sat down with the kid and explained it all. Recruiting Story
Terry, Really, this is it? With all that is going on in college football this is it? Saban is Satan? Cue Gipper.
Actually he got that nick name a long time ago, when he was with the old Houston Oilers as a DB coach. Apparently was not really well liked (hard ass young guy) and the players called him Nick Satan.
But seriously, taking the fact that it is Alabama out of the equation, isn't this sort of a screw job on the kid? Of course we could debate whether or not the early commit of a player followed by a very late decommit is equally as bad. However I must say in this instance the kid is taking it instride, at least publically...no big deal he's going to work hard on rehab and enroll early for the 2013 class.
I wonder if his knee is ready? That is really irrelevant isn't it? The fact that the kid is rehabbing and all he is being told is that he will continue to rehab for another 6 months. With everything that is going on at OSU, PSU and USC it's much more fun to bring this up because...well... it is Alabama after all. That and the fact that Saban rhymes with Satan. Hey maybe we could help you out and hire a coach named Tucker!
kp, I have nothing against the good folks at Alabama their fans or players. They are a great team with an incredible history of winning. But I think the Nick Satan remark is merited.. Nick Saban will always remind me of a pure prick after talking to folks who worked with him in the office of the Miami Dolphins and his incredible show of character when he chewed out a reporter for asking once again if he is leaving for Alabama. He not only chewed the guy out but did his best to belittle him in front of everyone and then casually hopped on a plane 45 minutes later to head for Alabama. I hope he does not catch on fire with my bladder full because he will still be burning when I'm done relieving myself ....There I hope everyone understands it not about Alabama...
re: RECcane's picture Based on Ralph's picture of an Alabama girl, I'm decommitting from Notre Dame and joining the Crimson Tide... .........JO'Co Satan
JO'Co, Actually, Satan promises her to you in August, but that rat bastard doesn't let you have her until December!
Cal football: Lupoi takes Washington job Ouch!!! http://www.mercurynews.com/breaking-news/ci_19753220

I agree with Bobda's round winner but kp landed a couple of harder punches and was defending against all comers so I score it 10-8 in favor of kp. And agree with his basic analysis. This whole over signing issue has been dealt with by the SEC and Saban is making good on his scholarship offer but one semester later and in this kids case the injury could make that a good thing. Also none of us really know what was said in private between Saban and the recruit when his offer was made. Some offers have strings attached when they come to the student.
