Hypocracy is such an accurate word for this. Consider how much is being spent on this boondoggle. Consider the money being spent in a resort where staff work and supplies are purchased. Our First Lady has outsourced her massive vacation. While her husband is ranting on businesses sending jobs overseas, his wife is partonizing foreign travel businesses. This is really an insult to those Americans really struggling. Fortunately for Obama most of them have their heads up their asses and don't see it.
Very very very poor judgement on the part of the First Family. I don't begrudge the President and his family a vacation, heck the President is never really out of touch. But this excess is just over the top.

What's the carbon footprint of that? Where's that fat arse Al Gore now that we need him? Wasn't it just three weeks ago that we saw Michelle Obama on TV telling us to take a vacation to the Gulf Coast...as she was boarding a plane to vacation in Maine? Remember dinner-for-two in New York City, at taxpayers expense, when they'd been in the White House less than a month? This sure looks like old fashioned, Chicago style, political gangsterism to me. Maybe when he leaves office Mr. Obama can apply for the vacant city manager's job in Bell, CA. They have a pay grade that might sustain his wife's lavish lifestyle... We haven't seen this kind of excess since the Clintons. Remember the two week African safari for them and 1,200 friends? Or how they turned the WH into the Hollywood Bowl. Interesting that the "party of the people" live like French monarchs.
:idea: The Clintons also looted the White House of furnishings on their way out of town, while their staff vandalized and damaged West Wing offices and computers...
I always found the Clinton act to be fascinating. He is experiencing a renaissance of sorts now, almost a folk hero. He gets serviced by an intern in the WH while a foreign diplomat cools his heels outside. OK, cool. But he leaves his trail all over her dress. Not cool. Gets busted for it. Lies on national TV and under oath. Men don't really blame him for doing what he did; they scorn him for his lame rationales. Women don't scorn him at all; not a peep out of them. Many are attracted to him because he's a bad boy. And people think Chris Angel is an escape artist!
To this day he rewrote the book. I hear Hillary asked Chelsea if she and Marc had sex before they were married. Rumor is Chelsea said "not according to dad!"
