Husker QB Keller cited for disturbing the peace Thursday, Mar 22, 2007 - 07:42:41 pm CDT Nebraska quarterback Sam Keller was cited Thursday for disturbing the peace in an incident on the University of Nebraska campus. According to Capt. Carl Oestmann of UNL police, Keller was allegedly trying to park his car in a public parking stall near Memorial Stadium at approximately 11:30 a.m. when someone else reached the spot ahead of him. According to the woman who filed the complaint, Keller allegedly got out of his car, yelled profanities and threw a plastic cup at the victim’s car, said Oestmann. Keller left the area and was later contacted by police. He was cited for disturbing the peace, a misdemeanor, Oestmann said. Advertisement “He was cooperative when we spoke to him,” Oestmann said. Keller, who transferred to Nebraska last August from Arizona State, is competing this spring for the Huskers’ starting quarterback job. NU began spring drills Wednesday and took Thursday off from practice. NU coach Bill Callahan was aware of the incident but had no immediate comment, according to a university spokesman.
