Wow, what an offensive display by both Baylor and Washington squads! Almost 1400 yds of offense and very little defense.

67-56...just unbelievable. I went to bed at the end of the 3rd Qtr with Baylor up 53-49. While the UW QB did out stat RGIII and played incredible. RG III still threw for almost 300yds, while his RB's ripped off 482yds so he really didn't need to throw it any more than he did.

This was like that old BYU/SMU Holiday Bowl.

Shameful Defense? How about wonderful, exciting, fireworks of an offense on both sides!! Best bowl game so far.

I know it was a combination of great offense witrh bad defense but really....on some of those Baylor runs....and we are talking Baylor here the Husky defenders looked their feet were planted in the ground.

Incredibly bad and no wonder they gave up 480 yards rushing.

UW looked like they decided to take away the 70 yd TD passes that RGIII uusally throws by dropping deep and instead opened it up for that Baylor kid to gash them with the running game.

I know you SEC types would have much preferred a good ole 9-6 defensive battle though! :)

It's just the way we roll.....defense wins championships...
i.e.....high scoring Oklahoma runs into a defensive buzzsaw and scores only 14 in the title game.....losing 14-24 for the national title.... 8)

UDub vs Baylor was one of the worst football games I've ever seen. I fell asleep three times, because I've seen better played, and more disciplined games played in the street in front of my house by the neighborhood boys...

I guess you baseball fans hate no-hitters too! No offense right?

I love no-hitters and solid defensive matchups in football and basketball.

This baseball/football fan loves to watch great skill applied in tense situations. I saw nothing like that in this game. The Heisman Trophy winner finished far behind UDub's QB, who is some kid from Compton who never had another day like that in his life...not even in high school. Baylor had three or four guys run for over 100 yards in the game and one guy ran for 200. I've seen video football games that were played with more discipline and finesse. It was a stink-a-rooney for the ages...

    Now that I'm an SEC man... I'll say I prefer a 48 - 3 "defensive" battle.

    :p

(assuming my team is the 48 of course!)

BTW... this is the Baylor team that the 6-6 Aggies buried earlier this year.

Did you see the Shiny new German Automobile Scott is driving? The Bagman has visited Scott to assure his allegiance! :) I wonder what Scott would be driving if he could run a 4.3/40! :)

    re: UDub vs. Baylor stink-a-rooney

Apparently I'm not the only football fan who was unhappy with the Huskies lack of effort in their bowl game. UDub head coach Steve Sarkisian just fired ALL of his defensive coaches, including high paid DC Nick Holt from USC...

ps...I still liked the game, so far it was my favorite! I also liked the Utah/GaTech game.
