I want to make it known, that Alabama had the ball on the MSU 5 yard line with a minute to go and they took a knee. So all of the talk about "style points" is about someone else not Alabama.

Who needs style points when you just keep winning? Great job Bama.

    Don,
You're right a win is a win :) BUT, again last night Alabama made enough mistakes and failed to execute enough that we probably should have lost. It may be destiny that we win the NC because there have been several games that we probably should not have won. Having said that, we still have Auburn, and if we win that one then we have Missouri and then a bowl game. I am still concerned. I know it sounds silly but this team is not as good as last year's team. :?

If Bama came into the game ranked #2 Saban would have rammed that TD home in a heartbeat. And should have.

You are the defending champ. You are the only team in America that can do without style points because you never lose.

A win is not a win in college football. Notre Dame can beat a Temple and go down in the polls.

While ND is not Alabama, as was shown clearly last season, on our way to an undefeated regular season and the NC game, there were at least 2 games that we shouldn't have won but did and a couple of others that were closer than they should have been. Good teams have a "refuse to lose" mentality that propels them through the tough games. Bama personifies that mentality.

Hey all, I agree with all that y'all are saying. But like I said, this team is not as good as last year's team but this one is undefeated (so far) and last year we lost a game. We made similar mistakes in last year's A&M game and we lost. This year those types of mistakes have not cost us a win (so far). It's just odd. I'm enjoying it, but I do wonder when those mistakes are going to cost us. :( :D :?

Maybe I'm wrong, but don't you guys historically have some struggles with Miss State in Starkvegas? They may not beat you, but it's usually a big game for them and a formality for the Tide. Under Saban that's been different, but they have given you guys headaches over the years.

As for the style points, I think the layout has changed. You now control your destiny and style points aren't required anymore. We've seen McCarron late in blowout games throwing in the end zone from the red zone. It's the reality of the game especially in the early to mid part of the season. Now things are more stabilized, it's a 'just win baby' scenario for everyone left standing who is unbeaten.
