Now that the initial pain has subsided.....and really I expected Bama to beat UF last Sat. night so the pain is muted somewhat.....I can now hope for the best that can be had for my Gators and that starts with Bama rolling the Gamecocks on Saturday. That would give SC two losses in the SEC and with just one more slip-up it would give UF a game edge in which the Gators could actually lose to SC and still win the SEC East soooooo......GO TIDE!! I do think Alabama will be finely tuned to beat SC but it is at Columbia and I'll be absolutely shocked if Spurrier doesn't have a better gameplan for the Tide than did Meyer and especially the UF OC Addazio......who called a very poor game vs. the Tide. This should be a battle....unlike the UF-UA game last week. I expect a Bama win though....something like 23-20. Also, I would always prefer to have any SEC team win the BCS title and therefore another reason for me to be fan of Bama the rest of the season.
Bama didn't seem slowed in the least last Sat after playing Arkansas the week before. I do think they will have the gas to outlast SC but SC is geeked up and rested with a coach who erstwhile could be as devious as anyone in the game so I expect 3 quarters of SC leading before TR and CI just take over the game along with that defense.....pulling out a close one.
Wow 21-9 at half....Krebs is going to need some Tabasco to get that hat down if So. Carolina wins. BTW: Haven't been watching since I've been watching the ND game...what's happened that So.Car has been able to put up 21 points on that Bama defense?
We have been outplayed and outcoached. I don't know how this will play out, but we don't deserve to win, South Carolina deserves this.
Dam, we don't have any South Carolina fans. They played an almost flawless game. Alabama has the reigning Heisman trophy winner and maybe the next best running back in the country and they had 17 carries. Amazing. It's like taking a bazooka to the battle and using a peashooter. Now it will be interesting to see how the Alabama team handles this loss.
Well did have one a long time ago, but he tried to take over the board....Rusty the Rooster!! Don't miss him at all!!
:?:  With a Heisman winner in the backfield and another running back who's almost as good, Alabama was held to 36 yards rushing... Wow.
Alabama had a total of 17 running plays. We threw 34 passes and 17 running plays. Alabama has arguably the 2 best running backs in the country and 17 attempts. Those 2 never got into a rhythm. This was not a surprise to me. This was just like our last 2 games except this time there were no turnovers and our young kickers finally showed up. South Carolina played an almost flawless game and outhit, outplayed and outcoached Alabama. Our defense needs a lot of work and seasoning and we need to give up the wildcat and hand the ball off to our strengths. Fast and furious....give me a break. I have been telling y'all that we would lose 2 (and maybe more), well there was number 1.
Alabama played right into the strength of the Carolina team. After Auburn pasted 300+ rushing yards on SC, Bama tries to pass??? ...with the best running game in the league, they try to pass??? I just don't understand what Nick was thinking.
I wonder how much of that rushing was Cam Newton vs S.C. Although Auburn does have an outstanding Fr. RB. But still the issue is that Bama got down quickly to So.Car. which always results in going to the pass in catch up mode.
We were within 7 points twice in this game. We didn't need to score quickly, we needed to score and keep their offense off of the field. We will lose again especially if the Heisman Trophy winner gets 11 carries.
