Never really think of Alabama as "QB U." but there QB's are unbeaten when they start a Super Bowl. La. Tech is also unbeaten when their QB's start...of course that is only Terry Bradshaw who like Montana is a 4 time Super Bowl winner. The Miami Hurricanes who have been known as QB U. are 0-4 with Jim Kelly. Notre Dame and Stanford have the most Super Bowl starts with 7. Montana was 4-0, Theismann 1-1 and Lamonica 0-1. Stanford is tied with ND at 7. Jim Plunkett was 2-0 and John Elway was 2-3. Purdue has had 6. Len Dawson was 1-1, Bob Griese 2-1 and Drew Brees 1-0. Cal has had 5 -- Craig Morton 0-2, Joe Kapp 0-1, Vince Ferragamo 0-1 and Aaron Rodgers 1-0 (Ferragamo transferred to Nebraska). Michigan has had 5 -- all of them Tom Brady (3-2). Alabama has had 4 -- Bart Starr 2-0, Joe Namath 1-0 and Ken Stabler 1-0. UCLA has had 4 -- Bill Kilmer 0-1 and Troy Aikman 3-0. Miami (FL) has had 4 -- all of them Jim Kelly (0-4). And Louisiana Tech has had 4 -- all of them Terry Bradshaw (4-0).
Joe Flacco has a chance to make Delaware undefeated in the Super Bowl. Of course, the SF QB can do the same for Nevada.
Another Husker dominated stat....I really hate being this good and consistant.... http://huskernsider.tumblr.com/post/41257938184/huskers-represented-in-20-straight-super-bowls
