Last year it was Lane Kifin...this year Saban has added Charlie Weis Jr to the staff. It's now full speed ahead to another championship!! http://www.al.com/alabamafootball/index.ssf/2015/03/alabama_adds_football_staff_me.html
Well it was the Patriots Ball Boy who gave them the advantage with the inflation of the football....every position is important! 8)
The "Bash Charlie" crowd here is missing the real story. Nicky is arguably head and shoulders the smartest and best coach in college football. I can't begin to imagine how many applicants he must have for his graduate assistant positions. He wouldn't hire a young man unless he saw in him something very special. For darn sure, he wouldn't hire a GA based on his dad's background. Young CW must have something very special. He certainly has been in the past college football's most well-known version of a gym rat. I put myself in the mindset of his dad, who must be immensely proud of his boy. Dad may have failed as a head football coach, but he obviously has succeeded admirably as a father. Good luck, CW2.
Look out Kp for now Nick plans to install the "Florida Pro-Style O" formations that worked so... so..... very well for Muschamp at UF. In fact during that time UF was only about 95th in offense..... certainly not in the bottom 10 as some here would like to believe.
Well Charlie Jr probably has a lot of potential. I think I've read that he's really smart and since he's essentially been working as a OCoord since he was in Jr High School he probably is pretty advanced. If he just doesn't have his dad's hubris, who knows he might end up very successful. Mike Leach never played college football. There are others I'm sure, I just can't think of them right now. So good luck to the kid.
MCG, I think he is in charge of sideline logistics or something. I'm not sure what his job is but I've got a feeling that Kiffin is not asking him for advice. 8)
