Yeah, in the effort to help the economy keep chugging along (Believe it or not ) I ordered a TV (60" LED Samsung 8000 Series) that has the option of a remote control, voice response or hand signals...This TV has just about everything including 3D which a person such as I has no need since one eyed humans cannot see 3D...But it does do quite well in 2D as well...According to reviews... But I will be able to use it for the internet (if I can keep my wife away from it) TV and movies. Hopefully if I do use it for internet the ND pictures during the championship game will be held to a minimum so this Old Cane fan can digest his food at night...
Ralph, I think the hand signal on the right, top row, should shut your TV off when discussions of the Irish become too much to endure:
Well I appreciate your kind thoughts and effort Wolverweasel to make my effort at proper hand signaling during the ND discussions easier. It is always great when friends are just trying to help...
Sweet! I got a new "Smart" TV last year and while I mainly use it to watch stuff from my Directv connection. I do use the apps built in to access content I buy on Amazon.com. I can do Hulu Plus as well, but not netflix. Mainly I've bought previous episodes/seasons of programs I decide I like but have been on awhile. I did that with Big Bang Theory. Nice option.
Lol, I have only gotten to page 561 in the manual Corey, sometime next week I should get to the part where I start swinging my arms...
I want to know what happens if you hook up a Wii or any gaming system that also has motion sensitive controls... You're gonna shut off the TV right in the middle of a game.. and that's when remotes start flying
It does make one hell of a picture, wow....I can see the bugs crawling on the grass during football games... The apps, web browser, hand controls and voice control must be for those that have much time on their hands because honestly who really cares if you can talk your TV into turning on, I have tried that for years with my wife and it never worked...
