I've been complaining about our constantly eroding OOC games since Bill Byrne took over. He'd rather play ANY directional U than a quality opponent, or so it has seemed. It seemed the death spiral would really gain momentum for 2007 when it was rumored we would beg out of the Miami series, and replace them with another bottom feeder. Instead... Miami stays AND... we added Fresno St to fill the final hole for next year. So now we have: Montana St Lousiana Monroe @ Miami Fresno St Much better than I was expecting! (Heck, if I'm a really good boy Fresno will beat us, and fan the "fire Fran" flames! )
 Fresno State makes a great OOC opponent. They have a very good program, great support from the farmers in California's Central Valley and a very good level of talent, which should be right under Texas A&M's. They play OOC games with the PAC10, like the Oregon and Washington schools, so there's a lot there to compare. A win over the Valley Bulldogs is usually a good indicator that your team will be in good shape and a loss usually exposes any weak areas that have to be fixed before conference play begins. This is a quality OOC game that the Aggies should win, but can't look past... .............JO'Co
