They say good pitching beats good hitting, and so far so good. The Ags blanked UF 4-0 tonight on 6 hits. Our #2 is a true freshman, so tomorrow should be a little more interesting...
Scott, how's Spencer Jackson doing? If you remember he went to high school with my nephew who's on the Aggie Golf team. Terry
Good win Scott. The Gators started strong but have run into some very good teams that we have been unable to beat. Gator Bill
Thanks Bill, but it's a 3 game series. All the Friday win means right now is that you guys can't sweep us. With our lack of offense, (note that we scored 3 of the 4 in the 9th) I won't feel good about any series until it's over... The story for us right now is team ERA: 1.64. We'll win some games if we can keep that up!! Terry, Spencer is doing fairly well. He's hitting .286 right now, and has hit one of our few long balls. He's been in all but one game, so he's getting regular time.
Aggies take the rubber match 1-0. Some serious pitching going on in this series. This gives me a big boost of hope for this season. Although our offense was lacking as I expected (Florida pitching had something to do with that as well) it was very encouraging to see us gut out some low scoring games. Winning on the road is big, and this will surely help us in conference...
1-0 in a college game is really unusual. Congratulations Scott, I hope my Gators do better in future weeks. Gator Bill
Hey Scott.... <t>Remember my comments on the new sheriff at A&M? Scouts know!!<br/> <br/> Great job by them this weekend.</t>
