especially if you're in a cold weather state...

The Wii and WiiFit game are something you should consider investing in. Not only is it something your grandkids (or kids) will enjoy, but I believe you will be surprised at how much you find yourself enjoying it.

The WiiFit game actually has a nice cardio, balance, and yoga routine that I'd recommend for people looking to keep in shape...or for people who want to get into better shape but don't want to deal with costly gyms or sneering glares from some jackass trainer.

Walk 36 holes, limit yourself to 6 light beers after round.

And remember, if you hook or slice, DON'T DRIVE!!

I concur on the Wii, it's the greatest game system ever!!

Hey AJ, why do so many golf courses no allow you to use a pull cart? It seems like only muny places let you walk and pull, all the nice daily fee courses around here it's ride or carry. Plus some of the treks from the green to the next tee box aren't very walking friendly.

That was one thing about golf in Ireland, the courses we played all were extremely walk friendly.

I've never ran into any courses that won't allow pull carts unless they don't supply them, or they deem a possible saftey issue.

There's some courses that would be an absolute bitch to walk that I have played over the years. A lot of the newer courses (last 10 years) force your hand in getting the cart. Their rules are ride only when you could reasonably walk the course.

Time of rounds and extra revenue from the carts are motivators for most of these courses now. How many times have you been stuck behind a group of walkers when your in carts and they're playing just fast enough to saty with the group in front of them and not have to let you play through?
