Cackle all you want about how George Tenet's "info" led to the Iraq invasion rather than the previously held agenda going in that he now contends the Bush administration is guilty of.

This is a friggin mess....and a costly lethal one at that.

Contrary to right-wing media Iraq was NOT an Al-Queda hotbed before the invasion.

Now the threat is real that it is.

Cheney is the most irresponsible American leader we have ever witnessed and Bush is an idiot for placing his political legacy in his hands.

I saw Tenet interviewed tonight. He indicated that the best intell we had was that there were WMDs in Iraq. This doesn't play well with the "Bush lied" crowd.
So now the intel says that if we pull out, all hell will break loose. So what did the Dems pass yesterday, a bill to set a timetable to pull out. What a mess.

Yes Gipper....one thing we can agree on is what a mess.

My gut feel all along is that there were personal agendas heading into the invasion of Iraq more than there were pure acts of stupidity or action based on bad intel.

I still feel that way more than ever as almost all the rats have left the sinking ship except the one who was really at the helm the whole time....
    ....Dick Cheney.
