Too bad we will not have him available for the Clemson game! From the Columbus Dispatch: McMillan, the national high-school Butkus Award winner in 2013, made the announcement today on the NBC Sports Network, which carried it live from his Liberty County High School in Hinesville, Ga. McMillan chose Ohio State over Alabama, Clemson and Auburn.
Not only that but you got him right out from under the SEC. Congrats!! Tremendous LB class for you guys this year.
BTW we have a game on Sat with you guys in Madison Square Gardens...the Big Apple!! We hung pretty tough with Iowa but lost and beat a young IU squad, but I don't give us much chance against an unbeaten #3 squad like Ohio State.
Terry, I have that marked on my calendar! We play Delaware here tomorrow night (Gotham Classic) Looking forward to the game with Notre Dame in NYC.
Thank Ralph. I see where Johnnie Dixon. WR from Florida committed to the Buckeyes this afternoon as well. Urban Meyer has always been a strong closer in the final weeks.
Don there are rumors on the ND boards that Luke Fickell is going to be fired by Urban and that he is talking to Brian Kelly about the ND DCoord job. What happened to the relationship between Fickell and Meyer? Fickell has been with you guys since he quit playing and you've had some excellent defenses over the time he's been on the staff. Also supposed to be an excellent recruiter. What's the word from the Ohio State side of things?
Terry, Luke has been interview for a couple head coaching jobs and has not been interested in leaving Columbus. He was very instrumental in the recruiting of McMillan. Urban has expressed his gratitude for his recruiting powers. Our defensive problems this year, have been more with the personnel than his coaching. Fans have been quick to blame him for our defensive problems. I would be surprised if he would leave for another college position other than a head coaching job. He has very strong family ties here in Columbus. Bobby Hoying married one of his sisters.
