ND <t>I could not be less excited about a super bowl than this one. I’m not even interested enough to see if New England gets beat to watch it. Got better thing me to do on Sunday.</t>
Damn Jiffer....skybox lovebox is dry as hell!!....if NE wins they certainly cement themselves as the greatest as of now team....2 folks at work gave me Philly and 4 pts including the push for 20 apiece....good bet?
GENTRY !!! <r><E></E> better things to do on SUPER BOWL SUNDAY>>LOL! ??How un-American can you be? I understand you are tucked away in the hills of west texas..but come on guy..what could possibly be more American then watching the day play itself out? Picking tumbleweeds? taking pictures of the Bridge to nowhere? <E></E></r>
well...I suppose this is what DYNASTY means and does...as I think back 20-30 years when Yankees won year after year..I never watched the world series.
Other than the Astros this past year I haven't watched the World Series since...well the Astros got swept by the White Sox. I did watch the college football playoffs though, much better than the NFL. Also watch the Final Four...much better than the NBA Playoffs.
Oh yeah even though I won't watch, I will celebrate the Eagles victory! BTW my chances of watching would increase if it wasn't a Sunday night game. IMHO it should be a 3PM ET kickoff. Let us regular people get to bed on time Sunday night, we have to get up and go to work Monday!
T !! its a 6:30pm edt...means 4:30 your time! u cant handle that? even I who with advancing age retire at 8PM EDT!...will stay up. I do, however, miss 75% of red sox games because of starting time.
AMERICAS SPORTS CAPITAL!! <t>B T W ....I can understand why 90% on this forum hate Pats..Why u say?..does not ND hate Michigan? Did Brady play for Michigan? Similar reaction would be if Flute was still playing...</t>
Notre Dame <t>Actually I will be watching football. I didn’t get to watch the ND/LSU game on New Year’s Day. I recorded it and that’s what I’ll be watching Sunday Afternoon. Not trying to offend anyone just couldn’t think of any two teams I would less like to see than Philly and NE. I’ll wait for next year’s game. If you are a fan of either team... good luck.</t>
Joel, I don't "hate" the Pats or Brady. I'm just a lifelong fan of the underdog. When I was a kid, I didn't like (not "hate") the Celtics, Yankees, and Notre Dame, all of whom were considered dominant teams at the time. I believe that the prevalence of social media in today's society amplifies the negativity of some people who for twisted reasons enjoy publicly bashing teams and people at the top of their professions. Certainly the Pats and Brady are at the top. Having said that, I'l be rooting for the Eagles. My HS football coach in South Jersey, Larry Cabrelli, was a former Eagle/Steagle in the 40s. For that reason, I've always had a soft spot for the team. One more thing: It looks like the Colts are getting Josh McDaniels as their head coach following the Super Bowl.
OK Sid 111 I hear you and understand you.I guess its human nature to root for the under dog! Pats will have to find new Offense coach and D coach...both are leaving. Jolly Charlie Weiss has been seen lately around Gillette. Who knows..Bill might be gone also..Nothing is forever! Be well my friend.
