Sniff, Sniff....Yes I watched it and love college baseball...But I had to watch my Canes lose once again to the hated Gators at their house....

Good luck in the super regional.....

I thought AzState was banned from post season play last Dec?

Congrats to the Ag's and the Longhorns...both had to go the extra mile to get to the Super Regional.

Wait a minute...Dallas Baptist? Is that a real Div 1 school?

They are Div 1 for baseball, and pretty good.
We play them every year. Took 2 of 3 from them this season, losing an extra inning game to break up the sweep.

I follow the western teams. I honestly thought that the Mighty Anteaters of UC Irvine would be the Cinderella team, until I saw "Dallas Baptist." I've never heard of such a school, so I'll have to Google them. Maybe they're Cinderella's ugly stepsister...

Watch out for Stanford's relief pitcher Chris Reed. He's the Dodgers #1 draft pick...

Of the non-western teams that I saw, I liked Florida, because of their pitching.

The entire city of Fullerton has to be on suicide watch after that showing.

Also, watch for next season... there's going to be a beaning in the CSUF-Stanford game when it rolls around... and there might even be a brawl too.

How the hell does UCLA lose sporting 3 of the best pitchers in college baseball and 2 of the top pitchers period? Jesus....

Was at the Tokyo Steakhouse for Cindy's birthday dinner. They had the aTm/FSU game on. We both looked at each other saying "Scott isn't a happy camper right now." Was that an elimination game for the Aggies?

LOL... no, not an elim game, that is tomorrow.

We tried to get by with mid-week pitching... FSU wasn't impressed.

The good news: We have our Saturday starter ready to go, and he's a stud.

We had one to give, hopefully we punch the ticket to Omaha tomorrow.

For this tourney, I've adopted UC Irvine as my team to root for. Their head coach is 71 year-old Mike Gillespe. I have several reasons to like him:
    1. He tried to recruit my son Eric when he was head coach at USC.
    2. USC fired him after 20 years as head coach. He was probably too honest for them.
    3. He took the UCI job, because nobody else wanted it.
    4. Despite having "no facilities and no talent" he's beating the world.
    5. His saying is, "Other schools recruit the players that everybody wants." "We recruit players and turn them into players that everybody wants."

Pretty hard to be against a guy like that...unless you're USC.

    Anteaters Defeat #1 Ranked Virginia.

    It sure does Sid!
The Aggies punched their ticket tonight with an easy 11-2 payback beating of the Semi-holes.

    OMAHA TIME!

Action starts up in Omaha today.

    Vandy vs UNC
    Texas vs Florida

    Sunday:

    Cal vs Virginia
    A&M vs SCar

My Aggies are a little under the gun since we lost Ace John Stillson before the tourney started, but we've got two great starters remaining.
Gotta stay in that winner's bracket! (duh! :p )

Gators are a long ball club, have hit 50 more HR's than the Longhorns but the new stadium is more spacious and that might help the 'horns out.
