    College that is...

After reading some fall ball reports on the Aggie Baseball team I started looking at the sched for 2009.

I notice that we only play Wednesday games up to March 11, and don’t continue it once conference play starts.

I got me wondering if that’s what everybody else is doing?

Although our non-con sched for this season isn’t laced with stiff opposition, we do have one game that caught my attention.
How’s this for a Tuesday opponent?
    Cal St Fullerton

Must be a spring break special… cuz that’s a long ride for a mid-week contest!

Corey, does Utah play decent ball?
    We've got a series with them, but I don't have a clue.

Is this the first year that we have a common start date so that Southern teams don't get an unfair jump on Northern schools?

I don't see a schedule for ND Baseball, I know they played Purdue in a double header recently for fall ball but not much information is online.

This is a pretty important year for the Irish. The coach has recieved a fair amount of criticism for the way the Irish have played in his 1st 2 years. Another year like those and he'll be on the hot seat. The feeling is that he's in over his head at ND, we'll see.

I didn't see the spring baseball schedule for the Longhorns on their website. They have Rice, Baylor and Texas State for Fall Ball.

I don't expect any blow-overs, but for once we have something we've never had...

    BAD ASS PITCHING with DEPTH!

We got all of our performers back from last year, and are adding several bigtime new guys.

I'm really looking forward to seeing this group take the field.

Yeah it's utah kids. they'll have some guys whack the ball around a bit. They'll probably have a team average over .300, maybe even 310 by the end of the year... They'll have some big kids who throw hard, but aren't real pitchers.. They won't be able to pick it worth a crap.... Like I said, you'll win...or you should... Are they coming to you?

    Yeah they are coming down.
It's in early March so I guess they are traveling to escape the snow...

I'm still adjusting to our "new" coaching staff. They believe in using small ball, and speed to put pressure on the other team's defense. He recruits for pitching 24-7, and is a pitching coach so he can actually develop it as well.

We were pretty bad in his first year while we transitioned, but since then it's been a steady climb.
Winning the XII isn't good enough anymore. It's time to step up and run with the big dogs!
