I guess the sports writers will never forget Clarett?

What is in the water in Akron? I thought the most dangerous rb in the B10 this year was Sutton, an Akron native who started as a freshman for Northwestern.

Ginn, Smith, and now this kid. Looks like the offense cupboard is stocked well in Columbus.

Dennis Dodd and Tom Leming are idiots who will write and say anything to make a buck.

Did I just make a pun?

Wells is a top notch recruit who does not deserve to be mentioned in the same breath as Clarett.

1 of 10 kids, mom and dad didn't go to college.

This reeks of stereotyping and bigotry.

The kid should be free to make a name for himself and not be hampered by off the wall stereotyping.

The kid obviously has a lot of talent. Hopefully he'll have a great college career and be a assest to any community in which he lives.

As far as Clarrett, his flameout was so sudden and so spectacular that it's only natural that a kid like Wells (#1 ranked RB in the country) will be faced with the mantra to not be like Maurice. There were 9 other RB's this year that Scout.Com awarded 5*'s, none them will face stories about not being like Maurice Clarrett, because they are not going to Ohio State.

    All,

My point in sharing this article was the idiotic approach by the writer, Dodd, who actually had the audacity to compare the kid to Clarett in the first place!

Thanks for all of your comments.
