Ralph, I was watching the speech when the camera focused on Buffett's secretary. If Terry had seen her, he would not be asking those questions.
I only watched a little and they showed a nice looking blonde sitting next to Michelle Obama..that wasn't her? You're telling me she looked more like Edith Bunker?
She was a very pleasant looking lady, probably in her 50s. I would not describe her as hot, and I did not notice her rack.
You see, this is the fundamental problem, Dave... We can't have a discussion about what is good/bad for the middle class because of the tinted glasses that you wear. I'm no economist and actually don't think it would hurt if the uber wealthy paid a bit more...you can have a legitimate debate on appropriate and fair tax rates. But that is just a "feel good" idea for those who envy the wealthy. Sucking too many tax dollars away from the corporations and wealth builders in this country will only hurt the economy and the middle and lower classes right along with it. Spending and big government programs that have nothing to do with the legitimate function of government are incredibly out of control...they suck money out of the productive economy and create layers of regulations and bureaucracy that inhibit growth. You have bought into the idea that the GOP is nothing more than a bunch of corporate fat cats sitting around smoking cigars congratulating themselves on making all of their wealth from the middle class. Yes, those kind of people exist...and some of them are Democrats. The GOP is made up of a lot of schmucks like you and me, who just happen to have a different idea than you do about what is necessary to turn this country around.
Ok...I deserved that. But don't you see that if the direction that Obama is taking this country continues...you WILL be giving...more...and more...and more.
I think this might help frame the magnitude of the issue confronting us.......Mr. President, please share with the people the actions you've taken in the last three years to address the problem and share with us the degree to which it has gotten better or gotten worse as your term as Chief Executive nears its end......perhaps a budget would be a productive place to start???
