Aha....a secret weapon to counter the counter intelligence provided by agent Meyer: "“It's probably a little bit ironic,” White said after UF's practice Wednesday. “I'm looking forward to it. I have tremendous respect for Ohio State and their program. It's one of the most traditional programs in the country. “I had some wonderful games against them in my past. I'm looking forward to competing against them in a bowl game.” Having coached at Wisconsin for 11 years (eight years as the offensive coordinator) under Barry Alvarez, White knows the Buckeyes better than anyone in the Florida camp. He's called hundreds of plays against the Buckeyes in the past. He he knows what to expect and what to prepare for." Brian White.....the interim offensive coordinator for Florida who I assume when interviewing for the full time position with Muschamp blamed all of UF's offensive woes on the fat man.
Don, neither of the units have played well at all this season.....as poor as Florida's offense has been all year long, ours is ranked below them and amongst the nations dregs in almost every meaningful category and our defense........pfffft. That to go along with kids that can't find their way to the team charter for the flight down and lame duck coordinators on both sides of the ball and who knows what we're gonna get..... It's basketball season.....big road game with IU today. Gonna be a helluva test
OSU wears out Florida late in the game...Buckeyes cruise to a 14 point win. AJ the Greek says BOOK IT!!
Buckeye T, I would love to see us explode on offense in the game Monday. Maybe wishful thinking, but I am feeling pretty good about our chances. Agree the game in Bloomington might be a barn burner as Jimmy Crum use to say! Hoosiers are always tough at home.
I remember Crum well.....How 'bout that! Do you remember Dave Sorenson and his "baby powder soft" hook shot? Crum was full of great lines but his "barn burner" was his signature line! Always had a pretty crazy sport coat too as I recall..... Hoosiers are gonna be looking to bounce back after getting whacked by Sparty. Looking forward to the matchup in the middle.....
It's an interesting game because of the coaching angle, Meyer to OSU. I think most Florida players don't have that much feeling about Meyer to OSU, but there are a few that do. The Gators have not had a losing season since 1979 and that streak is in jeopardy.
Bill, The media is what is driving all this conjecture about this game. The players and coaches are just looking at this game as another challenge. Both teams have had a very disappointing season in the win column.
Congratulations to the Gators! One of these days The 99 yard TD kickoff return and the blocked kick for tds were the difference. Special team and our offensive line have presented problems all year long. (6 sacks) Nice win for Florida! Don
Congrats to your Gators Bill UF took full advantage of their opportunities. Too many critical mistakes on our part and a a frosh QB not quite ready. Special teams was once again a glaring weakness and today it was fatal.... 1897....
Ditto what Don said. Congrats and a nice win. Special teams really did us in. Glad this year is over. :-(
 The Gators did it with smoke and mirrors. They took the lead in the second quarter, despite having zero first downs and running only four plays! I think it was just one of those years for the Buckeyes. OSU couldn't find any luck, even when they were playing another team that had been snake-bit all year...
We weren't necessarily "snakebit" all year......just bad on offense and especially at Qb. I guess you could consider the early injury to Brantley vs. Bama a sort of "snakebite" but other than that we just didn't get it done on offense. The defense played pretty well most of the time and that showed up again yesterday and really that was my main hope for a win against the Buxkeyes. Always nice to get a bowl win and especially against a team with the rep of Ohio State. The biggest satisfaction that I derived from the result was that the Gators continue to be among the leaders in major college football with respect to fewest losing seasons in the past 50 years and they haven't experienced one since 1979.
