Just heard Herbie Herbstreit make the comment that if Meyer gets his players at OSU.....which he most assuredly will......then he will make the rest of the Big Ten look like they are starting their scout teams against the Buckeyes.

    Thanksgiving indeed for the Buckeyes.

Leagues like the Big 10 don't just curl up and die.

Way to optimistic opinion as to what will happen in the Big 10 for Ohio State.

And this is not a bitter or antagonistic comment about Meyer. It's just real life. Spurrier came into the SEC with his fun and gun and dominated for a few years, however the other teams adjusted and the SEC became much stronger.

I don't see the Big 10 as a league where one team will dominate.

    Bill,

Inclined to agree, but I am happy to have Meyer come back home.

I agree with Bill. I'll take his educated opinion over Herbstreit's every time.

Always a good idea for a coach to rent in Columbus.....

    George,

Coaches here need a lot of space to entertain. Matta has the whole basketball team at his residence today for Thanksgiving dinner.

Had to clear that with the NCAA though to make sure there would be no penalties!

Herbstriet said it but I think it was hyperbole to be sure.

One thing though.....Ohio State dominated the Big Ten when Penn St was a factor in recruiting.

With no Penn St and a highly capable Meyer it will be a deadly combo.

Michigan is getting it's mojo back and also will benefit from no Penn St and Wisky, MSU and the Huskers will continue to have their moments but OSU with Meyer would be amongst the nation's elite teams.
