Apparently there is a tax issue that affect the Lynchburg Distiller Jack Daniels....and Michigan see's this as an opportunity.

My only question is I thought Michigan taxes is what drives Michigan smokers to Indiana Smoke Shops?

Crown Royal is a better choice. Haven't had any Jack in a long time!

Well since Tom mentioned it I must confess  the Crown Royal I am drinking tonight is much more enjoyable than JD in my opinion.....

Crown is King. Although, there are times that a Jack and Coke just hits the spot that Crown can't.

On my mantle I keep XR, Black, Cask 16, and Reserve in stock. In the cabinet is the JD, Gentleman Jack, and "regular" Crown (among others, of course).

My brother has a place in Bardstown, Ky. It's the bourbon capital of the world. They have a Bourbon Fest in Sept, he said it's great. I've never been a fan of bourbon though, I seriously prefer Irish whiskey, and not because I'm Irish I've liked it ever since I first tried it.

JD would also have to change their total marketing scheme. Hard to be called Tennessee Sippin' whiskey when it is made in Michigan.

Bought some 46 today, Stu. Not bad, but doesn't touch the Crown for smooth. I tasted a banana finish, but that may have been lunch revisiting.
