    What do you think, AJ?

Mike Matheny is young and relatively untested, but ex-catchers tend to be strong leaders, as they were on the field in their playing days. Good examples that immediately come to mind are Mike Sciosia and Joe Girardi.

Great choice...former Card family member, 13 years experience under some pretty good managers, probably paid close attention to styles and techniques, and the word on Matheny is he's mentally tough, as the others you mentioned. I feel confident. Wonder what his take about keeping Albert is?

Nevah hoid of da bum! :)

Seriously I don't know who he is, except what I read and that Jim Edmunds endorsed him. It's always a crap shoot when you hire a new manager though. But as a short timer in the NLC I won't worry about that, I'm going to have to learn about the Jr. Circuit...ie the American League pretty soon.
