Just saw on the news that even though NU won the toss yesterday, they gave PSU the option of receiving or kicking. We we're reminded once again that it's just a game.
Now that is news worthy of reporting. Thanks for sharing that. We were on the road all day and listened to several games on SiriusXM radio. I thought ESPN announcers were the pits... Try listening to homer announcers game after game.
AJ, I watched the entire pregame and most of the game. I was not aware of the coin toss gesture. Class move by a class program. If you did not feel at least a tinge of emotion during the team's arm-in-arm walk onto the field and the group prayer in the middle of the field before a stone silent stadium, then you don't have a heart.
Interesting, if they did it as a jesture to PSU and it wasn't a screw up by the captain then the sentiment is nice...although if I'm a PSU player not sure I want any charity at the begining of the game.
 I tend to agree with Terry. If I'm on the other team, I don't appreciate this gesture. It's like tipping someone a nickle: it's an insult.
I don't think so. Obviously the two teams praying before the game was planned, so I would think the discussion about the coin toss also happened before hand. I look at it as, hey were the guests, how would the hosts like to start out the evening type of thing. In the grand scheme of things, it's a chance flip, so what's it really matter?
