Yeah, no one questioned our coach after Saturday's win, did they?

Winning cures a lot of problems. We do have a lot of talent on our team, we don't have elite level talent...sure we do at some places but not enough of it. So until we get more elite level talent we are going to be a good not great team.

Hopefully going forward the team will show the focus, determination, execution, etc that we saw against Navy. We'll see. BTW just to torchure ND fans the ND/Wake Forrest game has been moved to a prime time ESPN game opposite L$U and Alabama. I'm going to hate to have to miss that LSU/Bama game.

I am intrigued by Kelly's decision to leave Rees in the game in the 4th when the second string was in the game. Why not Hendrix or Dayne? Did he just want to give Rees more snaps? Maybe getting a better look at the rest of the team's production? Son Greg thinks he was giving the finger to his critics. I don't. Anyway I'm uashamedly glad that Rees immediately threw another pick and Crist was put in to score again. I wonder if this may give Crist another chance in light of Kelly's remarks about his recruits etc. I think this may be too much to hope for.

Ahem......my theory, is that Hendrix will transfer to Florida; Crist to UCLA and Kelly didn't want to waste snaps on them when he already knows that his QB next year will be Gunner Kiel...

Here's a view of last Saturday's meeting of the Irish Scientific Football Analysis and Meaningful Social Encounters Society...

Well I don't know how this is gonna end but I think somebody is going to transfer and if Kiel comes to ND I'm positive. I said before that in the film I saw on Kiel he looked like he was in a spread type offense and in addition to being accurate he looked very mobile to me. <br/>

I wish we could just throw Hendrix out there and let it rip but every win is too important now. I also wouldn't mind giving Crist another shot and hope that he performs the way we all know he is capable of.</r>

The guy at the temperence meeting should look familiar. He's one of the greatest character actors of all-time and a regular in all Errol Flynn movies: Alan Hale. He's also the father of actor Alan Hale Jr., who played the Skipper on Gilligan's Island...

Here are scenes from Robin Hood, with Flynn in the lead role and Alan Hale as Little John.

Just spent an informative 90 minutes with Don Carlo. The soot from the burning Holy card still stains my hands. I can tell you that there is some really serious unrest currently that transcends recruits , current players, most of the team parents, ex-players and big time alumni.

For more details I better e-mail any interested parties.

 I think I have my best perspective on this after two martinis. So here goes. Kelly, frustrated says something which idicates he was drunk at the time. Sobers up, opolgizes to the team. Team says .k., coach, you have a point. We will go out and kick ass next time.

    re: USC

He did say that two weeks later they are still yelling at Carlo for his personal foul penalty against USC. It's become a joke amongst the players.

If it's become a joke, maybe the mood of the team has lightened up, maybe that's a good thing.....or not.
