I guess this year's WS is not an interesting topic to anyone here except AJ and Scott. IMO that last two games (#4 and #5) have been great games to watch. After a travel day today, they resume tomorrow in St. Louis with the Cardinals facing elimination unless they can rally in their home stadium.
It's not unusual for teams who score a bunch of runs one night to average out the next night, which is what happened to the Cards. I thought I saw a blurb on TV that the Cards have come back 4 or 5 times from a 3-2 deficit to win the WS. If so, I guess you can't count them out. They are going with Jaime Garcia, who is lights out when he's on but who has been inconsistent throughout the season.
IMO there's no doubt Berkman will be the MVP if the Cards win. It the Texans prevail, I'm guessing Napoli will get the award. Last night's game was something else! Bottom of the 9th, Rangers up by 2 runs, Cards one strike from the end of the season. They tie it up. Top of the 10th Hamilton hits a 2 run HR. Bottom 10th Cards tie it up. Bottom 11th Freese wins it with HR. Whew!
Texans? They better not have been in Arlington last night they have a game here with Jacksonville....did the Rangers take the night off?
Freese gets MVP. He's certainly deserving, but IMO Berkman should have had it for his consistently outstanding performance throughout the Series.

I was thinking the same thing Sid. The Big Puma was steady Eddie the whole way. But with all the noise Freese made, along with the home town kid angle, you just knew they were going that way.
