That would really send a message that they are serious. I read the ESPN article and the UConn president thinks they'll give UConn a grace period and let them have another year so that the 2 year period is 2010-2011, and 2011-12, which would most likely put them into compliance. I hope they don't. If they passed a rule, they should enforce it not cave because a big time Basketball program is being affected.
Didn't UCONN also get busted for improper benefits and other NCAA violations? Are they going to actually enforce any of these rules?
