UConn Excluded from 2013 NCAA BB Tournament

    Because UConn does not meet the minimum Academic Progess Rate (APR) requirements, as explained in the article linked below, it is excluded from the 2013 Big Dance. Think Calhoun might retire after this season?

    That would really send a message that they are serious. I read the ESPN article and the UConn president thinks they'll give UConn a grace period and let them have another year so that the 2 year period is 2010-2011, and 2011-12, which would most likely put them into compliance.

    I hope they don't. If they passed a rule, they should enforce it not cave because a big time Basketball program is being affected.

    Didn't UCONN also get busted for improper benefits and other NCAA violations?

    Are they going to actually enforce any of these rules?
