I guess the uniform craze is in full bloom these days. Good for the sporting goods sector, more jobs....er are they made in the USA? :)

    New Helmets for Buckeyes

Buckeyes have had 2 weeks to prep for the game, got new helmets, I hope this turns out better for the Buckeyes than the new helmets/2 week prep time did for the Irish.

I like the side view but will wait to see them in person before rendering final judgement.

    Don,

those helmets are very close to the design of the early and mid-60's.....so long as they don't get crazy with it, I don't mind the throwbacks every once in a while honoring some of the earlier times. I know the kids seem to enjoy them.....I also think they will be the difference maker on Sat!

I forgot about that Stu. My question is why the Wisconsin game? Mich State wore their uniforms vs arch rival UM, Mich and ND wore throw backs vs each other. I know Wisc has been good since Barry Alavarez took over back in 1990(?), but is Wisconsin historically your #2 rival or something like that?

    Terry,

Your question was for Stu, but yes I definitely think Wisconsin is the #2 rival, both in football and basketball.

I dunno...maybe Nike just wanted to do a different game this year.

    Still think they're ugly.

Throwback my ass....they look like they belong in "Tron".

The jerseys and pants are nasty to be sure, but I definitely recall that helmet design.....the wide stripe back in the days of former Mayor Laschutka, Tom Barrington and Dr. Don Unverferth and a young fella that went by the name of Bo Rein. I remember them very distinctly....
