    Heck I figured since TCU was such a big upgrade, they'd get more than the departing Aggies.
    Apprently revenue "sharing" still has the same meaning in the Bevo 10 as it did the XII...
    :roll:
    It must feel great to come in and immediately get slapped in the face and be told to sit in the corner to wait for your ration...

    Actually, the deal makes economic sense for the new member and for the conference. If I was an existing member, I would not want the new guy to have an immediate 100% share. I'm guessing that the other conferences have similar arrangements for new members.

    It probably makes sense for TCU but the Aggies are in a much stronger position.

    I am now wondering what is going to happen with Missouri, any idea Scott?

    I agree with both JO'Co and Bill. On further thought, I need to refine my comment above to relate more to what the new member does or does not bring to the conference from the outset. If TAMU is receiving a full share from the start, it would be because its entrance into the conference essentially brings the entire state of Texas to the table regarding TV viewership and potential revenue. On the other hand, TCU's entrance to the B12 likely would not replace what the conference loses in TV viewership resulting from TAMU's exit.

    Apologies. That was overly harsh.

    I guess I let your previous "TCU is an upgrade" eat at me, and I shouldn't have.

    The truth is: TCU's deal is not uncommon.
    I'm pretty sure neither Utah nor Colorado will get a full share from the PAC for several years.

    The A&M deal with the SEC is not the norm, but shows how much they wanted the Aggies...

    And yes I believe the SEC wanted the Aggies very much.

    Not much Bill, but I'm not in their area.
    I suspect they are just trying to use the little leverage they have to put themselves in a "have" seat in the Big XII.
    I think they were only being considered by the SEC, and did not have any kind of offer.
    Once the XII stabilized, any shot they had probably evaporated...

    I'm pretty sure the Big 10 gave an equal share to Nebraska, as well.

    So out of the latest four additions (don't know anything about the ACC's), three of the four gave immediate, FULL membership to their incoming comrades, to create a conference of equals. Only tu's conference continues to play the arrogance card, with one (or two, or three) more equal than the rest.
