The annual Jersey Scrimage will be held Saturday in Ohio Stadium. It will be the offense against the defense and will probably determine, who gets playing time at certain positions. The defense won last year and as a reward get to wear the Scarlet Jerseys. The scrimage is closed to the public, but open to the media, but no pictures. An open practice is scheduled for Monday evening with autograph session prior to practice. They are predicting upward of 30,000 Buckeye fans. Don
Coach Tressel moved the annual jersey scrimmage up to Friday, at the last minuit to avoid inclement weather. However it rained most of the scrimmage anyway. The young defense stiffled the offense! So much for replacing nine starters. The scoring in the scrimmage is Tressel's brainchild and is very unorthodox. He decides where to put the ball and under what conditions. The defense out scored the offense by one point, 65-64. Game like conditions will prevail in the Monday night's practice, under the lights to assimilate some experience there. The Buckeyes will play two night gaimes in Austin and Iowa City. Don
