As a former Navy guy just looking to help out a former Marines favorite teams.... I'm giving the Cards the Astros series while the Braves have to go to Philly...

    Can't be easier than that!!!

    Your welcome.

    Good Luck! :)

Houston just want's St. Louis to earn it, right Doc?

I'm assuming that Houston is playing alot of bench guys, and some folks they've called up from AAA who want to make a name for themselves, so they're playing as hard as they can. I was wooried about that.

Dotel...former Astro right? Walk off bunt(s) that he can't handle...seems like some sort of conspiracy. As far as the lineup, nobody knows those guys, they can go grocery shopping and they have to pay and wait in line with everybody else! :)

Who say's 162 games is to much!?! Cards and Braves fighting for their playoff lives tonite. Even Steven baby. Both win or both lose....1-game tie breaker is in St. Louis on Thursday.

Between this and the upcoming Husker game, I'm having serious sports related stress issues.

Someone should call JIF and BDR to see if they are OK. The Yankees just coughed up a 7 run lead to Tampa Bay. Conspiracy theorists are busy in Boston tonight.

I was thinking the same thing, Bobda. The Yanks certainly don't want to play Boston. Inquiring minds would like to know.......

Wow. Boston and Atlanta complete their meltdowns. One of the amazing days in baseball that I can recall.

    I feel asleep....WHAT HAPPENED?

They made a comment about Charlie Manuel last night when he intentionally walked a Braves hitter (the guy was 3 for 5 on the night), with one in scoring position, in the 12th inning. The announcers said that St. Louis should thank him for keeping the integrity of the game pure at that moment, when they had nothing to gain anyway.

Well thank you Charlie, thank you Phillie.

Don't know what happened in Tampa......suspicious....

Rays down 7-0 heading into the bottom of the 8th....after a three run dinger by Longoria it's 7-6.

Bottom of the ninth....no one on 2 outs for the Rays.....Madman....I mean Maddon sends up a .108 hitter to pinch hit

Count goes to 2-2 and then Dan Johnson rips it inside the right field pole for the tying run.

Game goes to 12 when Longo rips his second homer of the night....the game winner and wild card clinching shot.

Meanwhile in Baltimore the Os are employing bottom of the ninth magic of their own by scoring two runs on two outs to defeat the now sullen Red-in-the-face Sox.

    8) :D

Yeah it's not a big hit here in Houston. I don't give a spit about the American League but what's more important is that we needed a new owner and one that will clean house and start rebuilding the franchise from top to bottom. I fear we are headed towards another 100 loss season though.

They are trying to build up the Texas Ranger aspect of the move but nobody here cares about the Rangers. Maybe 20 years from now Astros fans will be happy with their new association.

Maybe they'll bring back Jeff Bagwell as the DH.
