Jiffy.....just finished playing in a charity event with one of your old Red Sox buddies, Trot Nixon. Very gracious of him to lend his time and efforts to an event raising money for local Ronald McDonald Houses.....hits it a long way, but not often in the right direction. Very kind and generous man.....
Trot Nixon. Another pain in my pin striped ass! The only guy in baseball history to hit Mariano Rivera consistently.
Don't worry, Jiffer. In the course of winning this division the Yankees are going to drag the Red Sox into the playoffs with them, even if you can't win a game.
JIFFER!! That's it? Rolling eyes?.....uh oh....don't tell me you've started the countdown to...don't say it AJ....(gulp)....pitchers and catchers.... BTW JIFFER!!! CARDS ONLY 1 1/2 GAMES OUT!!
indeed..Pitchers and catchers in 155 days...terrible situation in Red So Nation...First time I ever heard Boos ring down from the rafters last night. Cant blame Tito for injuries ( or maybe you can because they were not in shape)...but I think Theo and Tito might both be history!
Really? They've provided the fans with a high quality product for about a decade. The season's not over yet, and it's not like the team has fallen off the edge of a cliff. I'm guessing the Sox survive this slump and make the playoffs. If not, there's always next year.
This is the earliest I can ever remember Joel making his Pitchers and Catchers post!! 102 and counting...what's the record?
sid my man! true they might indeed make plaoffs..but its what has happened along the way. Sox had a 9 game lead 2.5 weeks ago. They have a record of 6 and 22 last 3 weeks. Along the way they are playing with 2 major league pitchers ( Lester and Beckett) and they are both playing hurt. Bard and Pap are getting lit up daily. Youk is out with 3 different injuries..Pedey playing hurt..Gonzo in big pain from his shoulder surgery last year. Crawfish is another THEO blunder..he is right up there with JD DREW as a junkman. Boston Press has killed Drew last 5 years..now they are working on Crawford. Sox have Ellsbury and Ortiz...and ellsbury will be a Yankee in 2014. Thank God for Brady!
Joel, true, it's a tough situation for fans to deal with. I guess my mindset as a Cubs fan is, I'd like to have the Red Sox' problems this year in exchange for the overall success over the past 10 or so years.
